A Letter from Miss Warner
Dear lovely first grade scholars,
I absolutely exuberant! Do you know why? School is beginning very soon! When school starts, that means we start a fantastic adventure together. We're going to explore far away lands. We're going learn about people that lived centuries and millennia ago! We'll dive into numbers and many magical math puzzles. We'll make stomachs we can see. Our classroom has buckets of books that are full of adventures, stories and information for you to investigate. In Miss Warner's class, we'll solve mysteries and puzzles. We'll wander through history and wonder about the deep ocean floor! Have I told you how excited I am to learn with you?
I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up on the coast of South Carolina and I completed my undergraduate degree (that means college) at Presbyterian College. I moved to Arizona in 2013 to teach wonderful students like you!
When I'm not teaching, I'm a student. I am working on my masters degree in Elementary Education. I also have a dog named Langston. He has four legs, reddish-blonde fur and desire to have fun. He likes to play outside and sit on my lap while I do school work. When the weather is favorable, I will probably be on a mountain or in a canyon.
We're going to have a wonderful school year! I can't wait for us to work hard together to be the best first graders we can be!
With love,
Miss Warner
